Dear Nichelle,
What DR Martin Luther King Jr said was true: you inspired millions in your Nyota Uhura role – including me, a blind woman, for whom you symbolised a more inclusive future. In March 2022 my dear guide dog D’artagnan passed away. My new guide dog is a black female Labrador. In tribute to you, I have named my guide dog “Nyota”. Nyota will be my guiding star as we go on our travels. May you live your dream and sing and dance forever in your travels in the Cosmos Nichell
