Nichelle,
You were my first image of a black woman in sci-fi and I cannot tell you how much that has shaped how I've seen myself in the sense that we can do and achieve anything. You were the reason I was immediately hooked onto Star Trek and found my comfort when times got tough; the image of a strong, independent, powerful woman on the bridge never failed to give me the boost to get on with it. You will continue to live and prosper in our minds and hearts for eternity. Rest well, Lt.
