Ms. Nichols helped shape the believe I had as a young white child that ANY woman can be successful. (This was not a prevalent notion at the time.) Her character as a communications officer taught me the power of kind words to open doors and calm situations. I try to emulate that lesson daily. My hope is that further generations will continue to learn from her example. God bless her.
