I am definitely a lifetime Trekkie! I loved Star Trek since I was a small child. We watched Star Trek then, and I grew up wanting to be just like Lt. Uhura. Unfortunately a young man changed my mind and I married young. I instead went into Healthcare and was a Respiratory Therapist for 32 years; but, I never missed a Star Trek movie! I felt great loss when each of the original Crewmembers passed away. You definitely inspired many women, of color or not, to become all that they could be!
