MESSAGE:
As a little Black girl from Flint, my Dad would sit me on his lap while we watched Star Trek reruns, and tell me of a Black woman could be a Lieutenant in space, there was nothing I could not do. I carried Lt Uhura's stylish face, with me for years, including as I crossed that graduation stage. Meeting, you, introducing my daughter to you, and telling you what you meant to me, was one of the greatest moments of my life. Thank you for sacrificing so much for little Black girls like me.
