You were an integral part of Star Trek and my childhood at a time when I had no concept of race, creed or colour. My world was of hero’s, and adventures shared by all men and women of our planet fighting aliens and monsters fighting wrongs and being friends. I wish my world was still like that, but sadly I had to grow up and see the reality of some people’s hate and prejudice. I have faced these challenges in my life as well, but watching you being brave and important on Star Trek made me brave.
