Thank you Star Trek for bringing us a talented cast that contributed so much to the dreams and creative thinking of children and adults alike. Adding Nichelle Nichols to the cast at a time when race relations were weak in the USA (and in my home country of South Africa) showed that some Americans saw the world as a big and diverse stage of talents and wisdoms. NASA also showed their foresight by working with Ms Nichols. Nyota, may your soul rest easy among the stars, where you belong.
