This was the first time I’d seen a female character that was allowed to portray someone with brains. Although beautiful, she was allowed to be smart and beautiful. Until then, females were mostly unclothed and played eye candy roles. Because of her, I wanted to be in a science field when I grew up. I wanted to be thought of as smart. I wanted to have a voice.
